GIS

Geographic information system

Geospatial data is recorded, stored, edited, analyzed, and even reproduced using a geographic information system (GIS). It makes use of layered data, where each layer stands for a different type of geographical information, such as a forest layer, a street layer, a vegetation layer, and many others.

This information is very helpful to contractors or engineers working on large-scale projects when it comes to surveying. This is so that a comprehensive study and view of the surroundings can be obtained through geospatial surveying.
